Garden of Wisdom's Clear, Brighten and Prevent Serum is expertly designed to simultaneously tackle acne, enhance brightness, and combat the signs of aging. This potent formula combines standardized Green Tea Extract, Niacinamide, White Licorice Extract, and several other beneficial ingredients to create a powerful blend of antioxidants and anti-acne solutions. Additionally, it serves as an excellent addition to your anti-aging regimen. Key ingredients include Green Tea, Niacinamide, White Licorice, Glutathione, Turmeric, and Glucosamine, each selected for their unique properties and effectiveness.
Method of Application 1. Start with Clean Skin: If you washed your face the evening before try using a warm, moist cotton washcloth and gently swipe across skin to remove any possible nighttime residue. If cleansing in the evening cleanse your face and décolleté to ensure that all makeup, dirt, and oils are removed. This helps to prepare your skin to absorb the products effectively. 2. Apply the Tonic: Once your skin is dry, take your spritzer and apply several pumps evenly across your face and décolleté (the lower neckline area). Hold the bottle a few inches away from your face to ensure the mist covers your skin evenly. 3. Let it Settle: After spraying, give the tonic a moment to settle and penetrate your skin. Avoid touching your face immediately after to allow the ingredients to be absorbed effectively. 4. Follow up with your regular moisturizer or sunscreen if it's part of your daytime routine. Remember to patch test the serum on a small area of your skin before applying it to your entire face and neck, especially if you have sensitive skin or are trying a new product for the first time. Additionally, always follow the instructions provided by the product manufacturer for the best results.
Shelf Life and Storage Information for Our Products and Ingredients
Finished Products - generally don't need to be refrigerated as they are preserved, but you can refrigerate them to extend their shelf life. The shelf life for most products is 9-12 months. Vitamin C Serum(s) and VitaResurface products should continually be refrigerated to extend their shelf life. Sample Sizes - do have a shorter shelf life (generally 3-6 months), and items in jars can dry up quicker than this if the lid is not tightened well enough (Vitamin C Serums - use within 90 days).
Please Keep Your Products Out of Humidity, Heat, Direct Light and in a Dark Cabinet When Possible
Exfoliating Acid - products have a shelf life of 9-12 months. The only things we don't suggest refrigerating are the Mandelic Acid Serums or Salicylic Acid Serums, as they can crystallize in the refrigerator. If this happens, you can set the product into a hot water bath to see if the crystals will dissolve.
Additional Items That Require Refrigeration and/or Kept in the Dark
Hydrosols and Distillates - remove 1 ounce of hydrosol and add it to a separate, sterilized spray bottle and spritzer. Keep the larger bottle in the refrigerator. Carrier and Exotic Oils - generally refrigerate all carrier oils, although some very rich oils will solidify. This is fine. All you have to do is take the oil out, warm it up at room temperature, and it should liquefy. If not, set the bottle in a hot water bath and occasionally shake the bottle, which will hopefully turn into a liquid. Some oils, like coconut cream and jojoba oil, have a super long shelf life.
Refrigeration of The Following Ingredients is Not Necessary, But it Won't hurt
Essential Oils - essential oils are best stored in a cool, dark place. Co2 Extracts - these should continually be refrigerated. Butters - we suggest refrigerating our "skincare" butters. You can remove what you need and keep the rest in the fridge. Clays - keep in a dry, dark place. Shelf life is at least 2 years. Herbs All herbs <i>(whole or ground)</i> should be kept in a dark, cool, and dry location. Herbal (liquid) Extracts are created using grain alcohol. The alcohol pulls the constituents (properties) from each herb, root, trunk, leaf, and flower. They have a shelf life of 3-5 years. They can be stored in the refrigerator or a dark, dry place. Other Raw Ingredients - such as Sodium PCA, Honeyquat, Oat Beta Glucan, etc., will all have different shelf lives.
Spring Water hydrating Green Tea Extract (standardized) free radical scavenger, stimulates circulation, healing, decreases swelling, high in antioxidants, flavonoids and minerals, high in polyphenols, anti-inflammatory, stimulating Niacinamide skin lightening, anti-aging agents, stimulates circulation, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-acne White Licorice Extract soothing, brightening, lightening, antioxidant, anti-acne Glutathione healing, encourages healthy cell development, calming to skin, brightening, antioxidant What is Glutathione? is the major antioxidant produced by the body. Antioxidants such as vitamins C or E cannot be made by your body and in fact could not work properly if glutathione were not present. Our immune systems depend on a steady supply of glutathione. Without it, our immune defenses become weakened. It is important in detoxifying many substances including heavy metals, breakdown products of cigarettes and automobile exhaust, many cancer-causing agents, and a multitude of pollutants and toxins we encounter on a daily basis. The major source of energy produced in our cells is derived from tiny structures called mitochondria. These mitochondria would literally burn up without the presence of glutathione. N-Acetyl-Glucosamine glucose based monosaccharide, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, anti-acne, naturally increases natural production of hyaluronic acid, promising evidence showing this helps to fight hyperpigmentation Turmeric Extract high in antioxidants which helps to slow down cell damage, mild skin exfoliant, anti-inflammatory, works to improve wrinkles, naturally helps to reduce pigmentation, anti-acne Leucidal SF/Coconut Amticide Preservative Blend natural preservative Essence of Cabernet(it helps a bit to mask the glutathione smell)

Overnight results!
I first used this serum at bedtime and when I woke up the next morning, my breakouts had cleared up significantly! For the first week, my skin would get a little red and flushed from the niacinamide for about an hour, so I only used it at night, but now my skin has adjusted to it and I can use it twice a day. It's too soon to report on its brightening effects, but my skin already feels smoother and has less breakouts.

Adding to my morning regimen!
I love this serum. I've been using it daily for 6 weeks and my skin is noticeably clearer, with fewer breakouts and lighter age spots. I previously used two other brands of all-natural brightening serums. One was discontinued and the other changed formulation and started causing hives. This serum is the holy grail! When I apply this to my skin, I know that my skin will thank me for it. These pads are one of my favorites! I have used them for a few years. They don't flare up my rosacea (do a patch test first) or cause excessive dryness. I only use 1-2 times a week so the product lasts for many months. I like that it only has one ingredient and no preservatives. Great price and shipping is fast.

Upon doing the cottonball test this item did not clean my face properly for me . I only use jojoba oil and concealer in a few places. I do believe it has quality ingredients, I have mixed it w the Skin Friendly Cucumber cleanser as to make that cleanser more gentle for MY high maintenance skin.

Even before I moved to natural products, I had difficulty with deodorants. I sweat a good bit. I would rotate between a couple of deodorants as that seemed to help ensure they kept working. I do like the natural deodorant sticks with baking soda. I also like the way it feels as a barrier on my skin. However, before or by the end of the work day, they stopped doing their job. So, I decided to use the unscented version of this GOW along with the stick deodorant. Put this on first, let it dry and then apply the stick. This has made such a difference!!!! It really keeps odors in check! I’m sensitive to scents, but citrus is usually not a problem, so I’ll try that next time.n
