Shelf Life and Storage Information for Our Products and Ingredients
Finished Products - generally don't need to be refrigerated as they are preserved, but you can refrigerate them to extend their shelf life. The shelf life for most products is 9-12 months. Vitamin C Serum(s) and VitaResurface products should continually be refrigerated to extend their shelf life. Sample Sizes - do have a shorter shelf life (generally 3-6 months), and items in jars can dry up quicker than this if the lid is not tightened well enough (Vitamin C Serums - use within 90 days).
Please Keep Your Products Out of Humidity, Heat, Direct Light and in a Dark Cabinet When Possible
Exfoliating Acid - products have a shelf life of 9-12 months. The only things we don't suggest refrigerating are the Mandelic Acid Serums or Salicylic Acid Serums, as they can crystallize in the refrigerator. If this happens, you can set the product into a hot water bath to see if the crystals will dissolve.
Additional Items That Require Refrigeration and/or Kept in the Dark
Hydrosols and Distillates - remove 1 ounce of hydrosol and add it to a separate, sterilized spray bottle and spritzer. Keep the larger bottle in the refrigerator. Carrier and Exotic Oils - generally refrigerate all carrier oils, although some very rich oils will solidify. This is fine. All you have to do is take the oil out, warm it up at room temperature, and it should liquefy. If not, set the bottle in a hot water bath and occasionally shake the bottle, which will hopefully turn into a liquid. Some oils, like coconut cream and jojoba oil, have a super long shelf life.
Refrigeration of The Following Ingredients is Not Necessary, But it Won't hurt
Essential Oils - essential oils are best stored in a cool, dark place. Co2 Extracts - these should continually be refrigerated. Butters - we suggest refrigerating our "skincare" butters. You can remove what you need and keep the rest in the fridge. Clays - keep in a dry, dark place. Shelf life is at least 2 years. Herbs All herbs <i>(whole or ground)</i> should be kept in a dark, cool, and dry location. Herbal (liquid) Extracts are created using grain alcohol. The alcohol pulls the constituents (properties) from each herb, root, trunk, leaf, and flower. They have a shelf life of 3-5 years. They can be stored in the refrigerator or a dark, dry place. Other Raw Ingredients - such as Sodium PCA, Honeyquat, Oat Beta Glucan, etc., will all have different shelf lives.

Happy Misting for Some but, Alas, not All!
In presently having a po-ed skin barrier, I've tried using this three times now and it seemed to make my skin further po-ed (maybe it is the Optiphen used in the GoW hydrosols left to sit on my skin? Because I can't reckon what else it could be...It didn't occur to me there might be Optiphen/phenoxyethanol in this product till after purchase and use so that's on me. That said, GoW offers Optiphen-free hydrosols in bulk so perhaps they use only those to add to their products.).
Anyway, I appreciate the concept of this product and the ingredients. Comfrey has long been one of my favorite herbs for use on the skin as has chickweed so I make frequent use of them (even more so now that my skin is 'sick'). I'm glad others are benefiting from this mist where I cannot.

My All Time Favorite!
Even though its gentle it offers a powerful punch to help calm and reduce redness all while bringing hydration to the skin. I spray this after cleansing and if more is needed I will even spritz some on a cotton round and apply to my skin that way. It is the first thing I do in the morning (I don't wash in the am) and it helps my makeup apply better. Bonus that there is not much of a scent for us sensitive gals!!

The missing link in any skin regimen
This spray is INCREDIBLE! I like that it's convenient to use AM/PM and throughout the day. The spray bottle never sticks or gives me any issue either. I've used a few rosewater sprays and regular water sprays so I could see if this really made a difference. It definitely reduces my redness, especially after using exfoliants, and calms my skin.
I prefer it to anything else I've used including glycerin (which is a queen moisturizing ingredient). Glycerin made my face too oily in humid FL. This, however, did not and left me neither oily or dry by end of day after AM application.
I like that it has a neutral smell and plays well with other ingredients. I use this prior to the hyaluronic serum. It makes my skin incredibly smooth and far less irritated. I highly recommend that combo for any skin type!

Vital for healing inflammation!
I had a severe allergic reaction to a sunscreen a while back, and after eliminating all actives until that was resolved, I decided to try Calm and Hydrate Mist. In addition to wanting to address the residual redness and swelling, I also noticed that my areas of hyperpigmentation had become much more prominent and recalled that inflammation is a common trigger. I was amazed at how effective this was at eliminating the overall inflammation and greatly reducing my hyperpigmentation, and my skin looks better than it has for years. I also use this on my lichen sclerosus (lady parts, y'all!) which is miraculously healing. I also use Oat Enriched Facial Serum and Calming Moisture Serum in conjunction with the Calm and Hydrate Mist and this routine is perfection for me.

The BEST Azelaic Acid Product I've Tried
I've been using azelaic acid for a couple of years for my pustular rosacea. It is the one thing that helps my skin stay clear the most. I've tried so many different brands, and most contain ingredients that clog my pores or my skin can't tolerate (like silicones, glycols, and other acids). This product has been AMAZING--it smooths my skin and bumps, it isn't harsh, and gives me a nice glow without being oily or sticky. Also I've noticed azelaic acid works better for me than other derivatives. The slightly grainy texture of this product doesn't bother me and doesn't linger on my skin. Please don't stop making this version!!!
