Garden of Wisdom's Basil Leaf Hyaluronic Acid Serum is a stimulating, hydrating blend of Sweet Basil Leaf Hydrosol, Sweet Basil Leaf Tea, and Sweet Basil Leaf Essential Oil and, of course, Hyaluronic Acid. This serum is mildly astringent and smells just like the herb. Basil helps with blemish control, as it is a natural antiseptic. As an astringent, basil refines the pores and helps to control sebum. Basil will energize your skin and help to start your day off right. Great for any skin type, especially oily, aging, or acne prone skin.
Hyaluronic acid's lightweight texture and fast absorption make it highly desirable in skincare formulations, especially for individuals with oily or combination skin who prefer products that don't feel heavy or greasy. Its ability to penetrate the skin quickly allows for immediate hydration, leaving the skin feeling soft and supple.
Method of Application Add 2-3 drops of your hyaluronic serum into the clean palm of your hand. You can then add 2-3 drops of your serum (your choice of any antiaging, antioxidant, healing, soothing serum) into the palm of your hand with the hyaluronic acid. Spritz your face and neck, emulsify the serums with your fingertips, and pat into your moistened face and Décolleté. Another option would be to apply a few drops of this serum to your clean fingertips, and smooth it across clean skin. Use during the water-soluble phase of your skin routine (after you cleanse, tone, and exfoliate, but before applying any oils or creams). Spritzing with spring water, hydrosol, or one of our fruit hydrating mists first will allow this serum to glide across your skin evenly and without the familiar tugging of the skin. The bonus is that your products will go much further when skin is moist.
Shelf Life and Storage Information for Our Products and Ingredients
Finished Products - generally don't need to be refrigerated as they are preserved, but you can refrigerate them to extend their shelf life. The shelf life for most products is 9-12 months. Vitamin C Serum(s) and VitaResurface products should continually be refrigerated to extend their shelf life. Sample Sizes - do have a shorter shelf life (generally 3-6 months), and items in jars can dry up quicker than this if the lid is not tightened well enough (Vitamin C Serums - use within 90 days).
Please Keep Your Products Out of Humidity, Heat, Direct Light and in a Dark Cabinet When Possible
Exfoliating Acid - products have a shelf life of 9-12 months. The only things we don't suggest refrigerating are the Mandelic Acid Serums or Salicylic Acid Serums, as they can crystallize in the refrigerator. If this happens, you can set the product into a hot water bath to see if the crystals will dissolve.
Additional Items That Require Refrigeration and/or Kept in the Dark
Hydrosols and Distillates - remove 1 ounce of hydrosol and add it to a separate, sterilized spray bottle and spritzer. Keep the larger bottle in the refrigerator. Carrier and Exotic Oils - generally refrigerate all carrier oils, although some very rich oils will solidify. This is fine. All you have to do is take the oil out, warm it up at room temperature, and it should liquefy. If not, set the bottle in a hot water bath and occasionally shake the bottle, which will hopefully turn into a liquid. Some oils, like coconut cream and jojoba oil, have a super long shelf life.
Refrigeration of The Following Ingredients is Not Necessary, But it Won't hurt
Essential Oils - essential oils are best stored in a cool, dark place. Co2 Extracts - these should continually be refrigerated. Butters - we suggest refrigerating our "skincare" butters. You can remove what you need and keep the rest in the fridge. Clays - keep in a dry, dark place. Shelf life is at least 2 years. Herbs All herbs <i>(whole or ground)</i> should be kept in a dark, cool, and dry location. Herbal (liquid) Extracts are created using grain alcohol. The alcohol pulls the constituents (properties) from each herb, root, trunk, leaf, and flower. They have a shelf life of 3-5 years. They can be stored in the refrigerator or a dark, dry place. Other Raw Ingredients - such as Sodium PCA, Honeyquat, Oat Beta Glucan, etc., will all have different shelf lives.

Waited until I used the whole bottle to review... My rosacea has improved so much using this emulsion!!! I'm in love with the fact that it's a moisturizer with no oils or butters, for I have very dry but easily clogged skin. The oat smell was not a problem for me and became comforting in a strange way LOL! Thank you for making such great products!! <3

The BEST Azelaic Acid Product I've Tried
I've been using azelaic acid for a couple of years for my pustular rosacea. It is the one thing that helps my skin stay clear the most. I've tried so many different brands, and most contain ingredients that clog my pores or my skin can't tolerate (like silicones, glycols, and other acids). This product has been AMAZING--it smooths my skin and bumps, it isn't harsh, and gives me a nice glow without being oily or sticky. Also I've noticed azelaic acid works better for me than other derivatives. The slightly grainy texture of this product doesn't bother me and doesn't linger on my skin. Please don't stop making this version!!!

I do, however, really like the rooster derived HA serum, which I have purchased from GOW before, because I know it's the real thing, so to speak, and I don't mind that it's animal sourced, because I'm not a vegetarian, and fowl is being consumed in huge quantities by non vegetarians in any case, i.e., they're not on the endangered species list. :)

TXA - the wonder drug
I just started using the TXA+Z Radiance Serum so it’s a little too soon to tell if it will help with my dark patches but I think it’s starting to help. As a surgical RN, I am very familiar with TXA (given IV) and find it an amazing and very useful drug in the OR so I have no doubt it will be beneficial on my skin.
Most effective clean aluminum-free plant-based deodorant
I've been using clean plant-based deodorant for a decade, and this seems to do the best job of controlling odors that develop because of hormones, stress, and exercise. When I saw the size of the bottle, I checked to make sure I hadn't ordered the trial size; however, this tiny bottle delivers a lot in a small dot applied to each armpit and will likely last several weeks.

This emulsion was created specifically for skin like yours. Very dry, easily congested, and often reactive. We wanted something deeply comforting without relying on oils or butters that can feel too heavy or pore-clogging for some (not all)
skin types, especially rosacea-prone skin.
We love that you mentioned the oat (we think you meant the glutathione) aroma becoming comforting. Although overwhelming at first, this ingredient is incredibly healing and soothing.
