Oats, Milk, and Honey Facial Cleanser

Our Oats, Milk, and Honey Facial Cleanser is a creamy, non-surfactant formula made with soothing oats, goat’s milk, and raw honey. Its smooth texture helps lift away everyday impurities while leaving skin feeling soft and conditioned.

A Note for Sensitive Skin

Although this cleanser feels smooth and comfortable during application, it may be too harsh for sensitive skin. We recommend patch testing before use.

Method of Application

Dispense a dime- to nickel-sized amount of cleanser into your palm. Add a little warm water, then rub your hands together to blend. Gently pat onto skin and wipe away with a clean, soft cotton or bamboo washcloth dampened with warm water.

Do not massage into your skin. Cleanse in the morning only if needed.

Shelf Life and Storage Information for Our Products and Ingredients

Finished Products - generally don't need to be refrigerated as they are preserved, but you can refrigerate them to extend their shelf life. The shelf life for most products is 9-12 months. Vitamin C Serum(s) and VitaResurface products should continually be refrigerated to extend their shelf life.
Sample Sizes - do have a shorter shelf life (generally 3-6 months), and items in jars can dry up quicker than this if the lid is not tightened well enough (Vitamin C Serums - use within 90 days).

Please Keep Your Products Out of Humidity, Heat, Direct Light and in a Dark Cabinet When Possible

Exfoliating Acid - products have a shelf life of 9-12 months. The only things we don't suggest refrigerating are the Mandelic Acid Serums or Salicylic Acid Serums, as they can crystallize in the refrigerator. If this happens, you can set the product into a hot water bath to see if the crystals will dissolve.

Additional Items That Require Refrigeration and/or Kept in the Dark

Hydrosols and Distillates - remove 1 ounce of hydrosol and add it to a separate, sterilized spray bottle and spritzer. Keep the larger bottle in the refrigerator.
Carrier and Exotic Oils - generally refrigerate all carrier oils, although some very rich oils will solidify. This is fine. All you have to do is take the oil out, warm it up at room temperature, and it should liquefy. If not, set the bottle in a hot water bath and occasionally shake the bottle, which will hopefully turn into a liquid. Some oils, like coconut cream and jojoba oil, have a super long shelf life.

Refrigeration of The Following Ingredients is Not Necessary, But it Won't hurt

Essential Oils - essential oils are best stored in a cool, dark place.
Co2 Extracts - these should continually be refrigerated.
Butters - we suggest refrigerating our "skincare" butters. You can remove
what you need and keep the rest in the fridge.
Clays - keep in a dry, dark place. Shelf life is at least 2 years.
Herbs All herbs (whole or ground) should be kept in a dark, cool, and dry location.
Herbal (liquid) Extracts are created using grain alcohol. The alcohol pulls the constituents (properties) from each herb, root, trunk, leaf, and flower. They have a shelf life of 3-5 years.
They can be stored in the refrigerator or a dark, dry place.
Other Raw Ingredients - such as Sodium PCA, Honeyquat, Oat Beta Glucan, etc., will all have different shelf lives.

Shipping Transit Note:
Some customers have asked whether products can be affected by time in transit, especially during warmer months. Our products are formulated and preserved to remain stable during normal shipping times and should not spoil simply from being in transit.

That said, if you are concerned about heat exposure, you are welcome to add an ice pack to your order for extra peace of mind. Click here to add an ice pack.

use with caution if you have very sensitive skin

this cleanser didn't work for me, but i give it 4 stars because it seems to be a well formulated product that most skin types would like. i have extremely sensitive skin, eczema and rosacea, and i find if i use it more than two or three times a week i get kind of pink and blotchy. the cleanser has a lovely slippery texture, spreads and rinses very easily. it is quite concentrated so it should last a good while. it has a nice grainy, oaty scent that some people may not like (the aroma doesn't linger). here is a handy tip-if you are annoyed by the label getting wet and sticky when you touch it, try covering it with a few coats of clear nail polish, it really helps!

Hi Donna, thank you for sharing your detailed experience. We're glad you appreciated the formulation and texture, and we appreciate your tip about protecting the label.
Sorry to hear it isn't ideal for your sensitive skin, but your feedback will be taken back to
our next meeting for discussion. 🧐 Nail Polish is a great idea! Our labels are 'water-resistant' but not waterproof.
Thanks for your support!

Lovely, soft skin!

Do you know the expression, “If I could bathe in this stuff, I would.”? Well, I do! I know this is an expensive option, but I use this as my body wash for my dry and sensitive body skin. Luckily, a little goes a long way. It’s so gentle and leaves my skin nice and clean, but also super soft at the same time. I use the Honey Butter cleanser on my face and this duo works really well for me.

Thank you for mentioning that a little goes a long way. Sometimes, I wonder if we make products too concentrated so they last for a long while.
Blessings and much love,

Gentle and effective cleanser

If you have sensitive skin then this cleanser is perfect. I’ve purchased it repeatedly because it is so soothing. It takes off makeup and leaves the skin smooth and well-hydrated. My skin can get irritated, but this is always easy on it. Another great Gow product.

We're so happy you love this! Thank you!
