Shelf Life and Storage Information for Our Products and Ingredients
Finished Products - generally don't need to be refrigerated as they are preserved, but you can refrigerate them to extend their shelf life. The shelf life for most products is 9-12 months. Vitamin C Serum(s) and VitaResurface products should continually be refrigerated to extend their shelf life. Sample Sizes - do have a shorter shelf life (generally 3-6 months), and items in jars can dry up quicker than this if the lid is not tightened well enough (Vitamin C Serums - use within 90 days).
Please Keep Your Products Out of Humidity, Heat, Direct Light and in a Dark Cabinet When Possible
Exfoliating Acid - products have a shelf life of 9-12 months. The only things we don't suggest refrigerating are the Mandelic Acid Serums or Salicylic Acid Serums, as they can crystallize in the refrigerator. If this happens, you can set the product into a hot water bath to see if the crystals will dissolve.
Additional Items That Require Refrigeration and/or Kept in the Dark
Hydrosols and Distillates - remove 1 ounce of hydrosol and add it to a separate, sterilized spray bottle and spritzer. Keep the larger bottle in the refrigerator. Carrier and Exotic Oils - generally refrigerate all carrier oils, although some very rich oils will solidify. This is fine. All you have to do is take the oil out, warm it up at room temperature, and it should liquefy. If not, set the bottle in a hot water bath and occasionally shake the bottle, which will hopefully turn into a liquid. Some oils, like coconut cream and jojoba oil, have a super long shelf life.
Refrigeration of The Following Ingredients is Not Necessary, But it Won't hurt
Essential Oils - essential oils are best stored in a cool, dark place. Co2 Extracts - these should continually be refrigerated. Butters - we suggest refrigerating our "skincare" butters. You can remove what you need and keep the rest in the fridge. Clays - keep in a dry, dark place. Shelf life is at least 2 years. Herbs All herbs <i>(whole or ground)</i> should be kept in a dark, cool, and dry location. Herbal (liquid) Extracts are created using grain alcohol. The alcohol pulls the constituents (properties) from each herb, root, trunk, leaf, and flower. They have a shelf life of 3-5 years. They can be stored in the refrigerator or a dark, dry place. Other Raw Ingredients - such as Sodium PCA, Honeyquat, Oat Beta Glucan, etc., will all have different shelf lives.

Happy Misting for Some but, Alas, not All!
In presently having a po-ed skin barrier, I've tried using this three times now and it seemed to make my skin further po-ed (maybe it is the Optiphen used in the GoW hydrosols left to sit on my skin? Because I can't reckon what else it could be...It didn't occur to me there might be Optiphen/phenoxyethanol in this product till after purchase and use so that's on me. That said, GoW offers Optiphen-free hydrosols in bulk so perhaps they use only those to add to their products.).
Anyway, I appreciate the concept of this product and the ingredients. Comfrey has long been one of my favorite herbs for use on the skin as has chickweed so I make frequent use of them (even more so now that my skin is 'sick'). I'm glad others are benefiting from this mist where I cannot.

My All Time Favorite!
Even though its gentle it offers a powerful punch to help calm and reduce redness all while bringing hydration to the skin. I spray this after cleansing and if more is needed I will even spritz some on a cotton round and apply to my skin that way. It is the first thing I do in the morning (I don't wash in the am) and it helps my makeup apply better. Bonus that there is not much of a scent for us sensitive gals!!

The missing link in any skin regimen
This spray is INCREDIBLE! I like that it's convenient to use AM/PM and throughout the day. The spray bottle never sticks or gives me any issue either. I've used a few rosewater sprays and regular water sprays so I could see if this really made a difference. It definitely reduces my redness, especially after using exfoliants, and calms my skin.
I prefer it to anything else I've used including glycerin (which is a queen moisturizing ingredient). Glycerin made my face too oily in humid FL. This, however, did not and left me neither oily or dry by end of day after AM application.
I like that it has a neutral smell and plays well with other ingredients. I use this prior to the hyaluronic serum. It makes my skin incredibly smooth and far less irritated. I highly recommend that combo for any skin type!

Vital for healing inflammation!
I had a severe allergic reaction to a sunscreen a while back, and after eliminating all actives until that was resolved, I decided to try Calm and Hydrate Mist. In addition to wanting to address the residual redness and swelling, I also noticed that my areas of hyperpigmentation had become much more prominent and recalled that inflammation is a common trigger. I was amazed at how effective this was at eliminating the overall inflammation and greatly reducing my hyperpigmentation, and my skin looks better than it has for years. I also use this on my lichen sclerosus (lady parts, y'all!) which is miraculously healing. I also use Oat Enriched Facial Serum and Calming Moisture Serum in conjunction with the Calm and Hydrate Mist and this routine is perfection for me.

I'm not sure that I actually have rosacea, but my cheeks tend to get red in response to many products. Once I finally realized this I've been careful to keep retinol away from them and use this instead. I have so much less flushing and also a very smooth texture on my cheeks now. A tiny drop is all I need for the small area, so the 0.5 oz bottle is lasting forever. Thank you GOW for making so many products that I can really customize and adapt my routine! I wrote somewhere else in a review that my bathroom drawer looks like I robbed the warehouse - I just love so many of these products and somehow find the time and space on my face to use them all!!

I've used this on and off for years, and in the past few months have been using 2-3x per week. Whenever my skin is a little flaky or rough, 10 minutes of this mask makes me all silky and smooth. It also seems like it prepares my skin well for other products to sink in. I've gotten into a habit of a quick lukewarm water rinse in the morning (or a longer one if I've used retinol), then applying a layer of this for 20 minutes or so while I do household chores. I rinse it off in the shower and then continue my routine and it really seems to brighten and refine my skin. It's especially amazing for blocked pores or tiny blemishes - I feel like I can see an immediate difference after just a few minutes. Can't live without this one, can't live without GOW!!

Got this as a free sample (I LOVE the samples!!!) and will re-order this one. Nice silky texture and doesn't pill when layered. I've been using this every morning and every other night (some nights I use GOW retinol cream alone) mixed with the bakuchiol oil. I really like a serum to help make oils glide on and not get too goopy. I let the combo sink in for a few minutes, then apply sunscreen in the morning, and sometimes another oil at night. I've taken a years-long break from acids after over-using mandelic acid and causing some barrier disruption. Thanks to many other GOW products I was getting along well, but still dealing with some tiny blocked and enlarged pores. I started dipping my toe back in with this one, starting with twice/week, and now I'm up to every other night, alternating with the GOW retinol cream. I cleanse, then apply this to my t-zone, use an oil of some sort around my eyes and cheeks, and leave for about 20 min. I then follow with a combo of a GOW serum like progeline, acai berry, ceramide, or whatever latest wonderful free sample I've received :), mixed with the bakuchiol oil, and depending on how dry I am, an ozonated oil as well. My little blocked pores are much improved! My skin texture is very soft and fine (also I think thanks to the retinol and other stuff), but this helps too. I think the biggest thing though is more noticeable fading of hyperpigmentation on my forehead! I still use the light n bright serum during the day, which did help a lot for a while, but I actually think that this has made a bigger difference recently. Love love love GOW so much, it's really impossible to express my appreciation for all you do!!!

I've been using this for close to 10 months and I don't think I could live without it now! I think that it's best to let retinols sit for a couple hours without adding on a ton of other products so as not to neutralize them (is that right??), so I don't like serums because they make my skin feel tight, especially around my eyes, without adding a cream or oil on top. This one is so emollient and silky that I can use it alone overnight, so I feel like the retinol can really do its work. I do think that it's made a difference with fine lines and plumpness - my skin definitely does not look or feel its 40 years. I haven't taken the time to review in a while, but GOW never disappoints and I need to sing some praise for this cream!! I would honestly be lost without all of my GOW products - my bathroom drawer looks like I robbed the warehouse or something!

I have never been able to use vitamin C of any kind on my face. Not sure what the difference is here but this one works great and doesn't bother me at all! I think it's helping even out my skin tone but I've only been using it maybe a month so far and in my experience you have to give things at least three months to really see results. But so far so good!

I got the 10 ml. size to sample the product and see if it does what it claims. My skin seems to like products with niacinamide in them so I thought it couldn't hurt to try TXA+Z. I'm happy to say that I'm beginning to see results regarding fading of stubborn after-blemish hyperpigmentation on my face and, while I use other products for this purpose as well, I think the TXA+Z is doing most of the heavy lifting at this point. I like the feel of this serum and have been using it in the morning. I'm back to get the 1 oz. size before I run out.
