Castor Castile Cleanser With and Without Castor Oil
While this cleanser was formulated with sensitive skin in mind, it is also a great choice for anyone who is looking for a detergent free, non-foaming cleanser.
Castor/Castile Cleanser is moisturizing, cleansing, and pH balanced (so the acid mantle of the skin is not compromised). The addition of castor oil in this version helps to condition the skin and helps to loosen stubborn blackheads lodged in the pores.
Method of Application
Dispense about a dime to nickel size amount of cleanser into the palm of your hand, drip warm/hot water into your palm then rub hands together to emulsify. Pat into skin, wipe off gently with a wet, warm cotton or bamboo clean washcloth.
Do not massage into your skin. Only cleanse in the A.M. if necessary.
List of Ingredients
- 100% Castile (olive oil) Soap vegetable derived gentle soap base
- Castor Oil (this oil is omitted in the non-castor oil version) conditioning, emollient
- Citric Acid pH adjuster
So, I have been using GoW for about 3 months now and LOVE LOVE LOVE everything I have tried. However, I am shocked at what this cleanser has done for my skin. Before GoW, I had oily, dehydrated, irritated skin. I don't normally break out, but my pores are visible and get clogged easily. After using GoW for a month, the oilies and dehydration were completely gone (can I just re-emphasize here how much I love GoW?) but I was still getting a lot of clogged pores. So, Jerri suggested that I try the Castile cleanser (thank you, Jerri!). I usually spritz my face with the clarifying tonic after cleansing and then wipe it off with a cotton ball and now, when I wipe, I see gunk coming out of the pores. I have only been using this for about 3 weeks but already my pores are significantly smaller and totally clear. No more blackheads, no more clogs, just totally soft, healthy skin. I have tried a lot of products claiming to reduce blackheads (not to mention oiliness), and NOTHING has come even close to giving me these results.
