Garden of Wisdom's Hyaluronic Acid (rooster derived) is animal derived hyaluronic acid and comes from rooster combs. It is offered for customers who have skin that does better with animal based actives, as opposed to the plant fermentation process of our other offerings of hyaluronic acid. This type of hyaluronic acid is easily accepted by the human epidermis. 1.2 million Daltons

Hyaluronic acid is a famous active known for its ability to hold over 1,000 times its weight in water. This ability makes it one of the best hydrators a person could turn to. Hyaluronic acid also protects skin, while allowing it to breathe. It causes skin to appear more plump, fills in fine lines, and dries quickly without leaving a sticky residue on the skin.

Method of Application
Apply a few drops of this serum on your clean finger tips, and smooth it across clean skin. Use during the water soluble phase of your skin routine (after you cleanse, tone, and exfoliate, but before you apply any oils or creams). Spritzing with spring water, hydrosol or one of our fruit hydrating mists first will allow this serum to glide across your skin evenly and without the familiar tugging of the skin.

Histamine friendly skincare option

Most hyaluronic acids are derived from fermenting foods, however this one is animal derived. This makes it a friendly skincare product for people with histamine concerns. It will still cause some slight redness to my irritated skin immediately after use, but subsides within minutes and leaves my skin feeling smoother and healthier than it was before applying the product. I consider this a healing product. Those of us suffering from skin-flares know that 1) everything irritates our skin (even water) and 2) having skin feel better than it was before applying the product is a dream come true. - MCAS and high Eosinophil sufferer.
