Customer Feedback

This is fabulous stuff... do you know when it will be ready to order? I need to place an order, but I'm trying to wait.

OK, I just received... the sample of the Summer Serum with my order (thank you for indulging me Markey, I live for reviews LOL!!). ODOR: Barely detectable fragrance for anyone concerned about that, although my extremely sensitive sniffer seems to pick up on a very faint coffee aroma :-) and that is only if I put my nose right in it. APPEARANCE: Slight brownish tint, clear. FEEL/TEXTURE: Very light but slick and smooth going on the skin. I pumped once into my palm, and dabbed it on my face using my pinky fingertip then lightly rubbed in. It spread and absorbed immediately into my skin, leaving a soft velvety feel without stickiness. MY USAGE: Used it twice (p.m. only) so far. I wake up & my face is still soft and not any more oily in the t-zone than it normally is (which isn't even bad at all anymore since using only GoW skincare.) There was no stickiness from this serum, even with this horrible summer humidity we've been having lately in central PA. I am going to start using this serum in the a.m.'s as well, after a splash of warm water and a spritz of toner. (I don't cleanse w/soap in the mornings, only at night.) MY OPINION: For my combination skin, this moisturizing/antiox serum is about equal to using HA+oils as moisturizer. With this serum, my skin looks awesome under my MMU!!! (And I didn't even use my DMAE serum in the morning like usual, to shrink large pores.) For my skin, I could use this as an MMU base, but it would depend on the oilyness of your skin whether you could do this or not. ( NOTE: I've been working outdoors these past few days in temps hovering near 100 degrees with humidity in the 80% range. My MMU didn't slide off my face from sweating & looked no different than usual in that respect with this serum.) My skin looked great in the morning though, before MMU. My large pores looked very small. Based on my experience, I would purchase this serum.

I think the summer serum... is awesome!!!! My boyfriend is also using it and he likes it too. My skin is so smooth without being dry or oily, I keep touching my face to feel it because it just feels so darn good. I live in NC where the temps have been in the upper 90's with more than a bit of humidity just so you have a refrence. I wish I could be more descriptive than that, but I am still new at this stuff. Just wanted to let you know that I love it.

I've been using and... loving my summer serum sample (say that three times fast!) for a while now, but have been so busy lately (excuses, excuses...) Anyway, this is really, really, lovely Markey. I've been looking for a nice antioxidant boost for daytime, and I love that this one is not oil based. Makes it so easy and versatile! Some days I just smooth some on straight, and I love the soft feeling it leaves to my skin. Other days I'll squirt some into my little puddle of cucumber toner and pearl powder. It's also nice with the moisturizing gel. However I use it, I love that it doesn't have an intrusive texture at all, and just smooths in and blends with the rest of my skin care without changing the feeling at all. Just wonderful stuff!!

Wanted to give... my 2 cents on the Summer Serum. Got it w/my order of the Moisturizing Gel and I have to say I think I prefer the Summer Serum. I have normal-dry skin w/hormonal breakouts (also on Taz so skin can have some sensitive/flaky bouts at times) and I find the Summer Serum to be just as hydrating as the Moisturizing Gel and of course in the summer one I'd prefer to layer the summer serum in my routine than the thicker moisturizing gel.

Fabulous!... My skin has looked FLAWLESS all day!

I love the summer serum!!!... Blends right in and is so light on my skin. I'm definitely going to need a bigger one, LOL!!

Shelf Life and Storage Information for Products and Ingredients

Finished products generally don't need to be refrigerated as they are preserved, but you can refrigerate them to extend shelf life. Shelf life is 9 - 12 months

Sample sizes do have a shorter shelf life (generally 3-6 months and items in jars can dry up quicker than this if the lid is not tightened well enough (except our vitamin C serums - use within 90 days).

Please try to keep out of high humidity or heat if possible! Store out of direct light and in dark cabinet if possible also!

Exfoliating Acid products will last 1 year.

The only thing we don't suggest refrigerating is the mandelic or salicylic acid serums as those can crystallize in the refrigerator and not go back to their normal state even if you warm them up.

    Additional Items Requiring Refrigeration

Hydrosols - Take out 1/2 oz to 1 oz in a separate spray bottle from your original container and keep the larger bottle in the refrigerator!

Carrier Oils - Generally you can refrigerate ALL carrier oils, they will solidify in some cases. This is FINE all you have to do is take it out warm it up at room temp and it will be liquid again!
There are some oils that have a super long shelf life like coconut oil for instance! That does not need to be refrigerated, but it cannot hurt it either!

Essential Oils - Essential oils are best stored in a cool dark place.

Co2 Oils - These should always be refrigerated.

Butters - We suggest refrigerating our skincare butters. You can take out what you need and keep the rest in the fridge.

Essential oils - These can be refrigerated to increase their shelf life!

Clays - Keep in a dry, dark place (shelf life is at least 2 years)

Herbs - (whole or ground) These should last a good year at least - Keep in a dark, cool and dry location.

Herbal Extracts - [powder] Keep these also in a dark, DRY place. You can keep in the fridge, but make sure the seal is on very tight so you don't get moisture in. [1 year at least].

Herbal Extracts - [liquid] These can be kept in the refrigerator (or a dark DRY place] [3 years at least]

Other Various Raw Ingredients - i.e. Sodium PCA, Honeyquat, Iat Beta Glucan etc will all have a different shelf life (we are working on adding this to the ingredient pages.
