Tazman (Pepper) Berry is an extract from the Tasmanian Pepper, a black-ish purple berry that grows in the mountains of Australia. It is a very enduring species that tolerates cold winds and thrives on rocks and in harsh elements. It also has anti-allergenic properties which are really helpful, especially in this spring weather where allergies are their highest.
Tazman Berry Pepper contains Polygodial, a powerful active anti-inflammatory ingredient that reduces vasodilation and oedema to soothe the skin. It also has anti-allergenic and antimicrobial properties. This berry also contains Anthocyanins, which make it have a high antioxidant level (3x greater than blueberries with TEAC) to protect against free radicals. Anthocyanins are free radical scavengers that protect cells from oxidative damages. It also contains rutin, an anti-inflammatory known to strengthen capillaries. It can also have a great impact on the appearance of dark circles. In vivo study results show that Tazman Pepper instantly reduces skin redness induced by UV radiation (after single application of a cream containing 2% Tazman Pepper)
Method of Application Apply a few drops of this serum on your clean finger tips, and smooth it across clean skin. Use during the water soluble phase of your skin routine (after you cleanse, tone, and exfoliate, but before you apply any oils or creams)

Test Protocol
20 healthy volunteers with sensitive and reactive skin. Application of a 2% Tazman Pepper™ cream or placebo. The itching sensations induced by an irritant chemical (capsaicin) were assessed right after the application and up to 5 minutes later.
Tazman Pepper™ Results
Immediate itching reduction, 79% decrease in itching sensations after only 5 minutes. Tazman Pepper™ relieves instantly itching discomfort. Fast-relief of burning sensations, 58% decrease in burning sensations after only 5 minutes.
Shelf Life and Storage Information for Our Products and Ingredients
Finished Products - generally don't need to be refrigerated as they are preserved, but you can refrigerate them to extend their shelf life. The shelf life for most products is 9-12 months. Vitamin C Serum(s) and VitaResurface products should continually be refrigerated to extend their shelf life. Sample Sizes - do have a shorter shelf life (generally 3-6 months), and items in jars can dry up quicker than this if the lid is not tightened well enough (Vitamin C Serums - use within 90 days).
Please keep your products out of humidity, heat, direct light and in a dark cabinet when possible:
Exfoliating Acid - products have a shelf life of 9-12 months. The only things we don't suggest refrigerating are the Mandelic Acid Serums or Salicylic Acid Serums, as they can crystallize in the refrigerator. If this happens, you can set the product into a hot water bath to see if the crystals will dissolve.
Additional Items That Require Refrigeration and/or Kept in the Dark:
Hydrosols and Distillates - remove 1 ounce of hydrosol and add it into a separate,sterilized spray bottle and spritzer. Keep the larger bottle in the refrigerator. Carrier and Exotic Oils - generally, you can refrigerate all carrier oils, although some very rich oils will solidify. This is fine. All you have to do is take it out, warm it up at room temperature and it should liquefy. If not, set the bottle in a hot water bath and occasionally shake the bottle, which will hopefully turn into a liquid. There are some oils with a super long shelf life, like Coconut Cream and Jojoba Oil.
Refrigeration is not necessary, but it surely won't hurt:
Essential Oils - essential oils are best stored in a cool, dark place. Co2 Extracts - these should continually be refrigerated. Butters - we suggest refrigerating our "skincare" butters. You can remove what you need and keep the rest in the fridge. Clays - keep in a dry, dark place. Shelf life is at least 2 years. Herbs - all herbs (whole or ground) should be kept in a dark, cool and dry location. Herbal (liquid) Extracts - these are created using alcohol. The alcohol pulls the constituents (properties) from each herbs - root, trunk, leaves, and flowers. They have a shelf life of 3-5 years. They can be kept in the refrigerator or a dark place. Other Raw Ingredients - i.e., Sodium PCA, Honeyquat, Oat Beta Glucan, etc. will all have a different shelf life.

My face tends get red in the cold Colorado air, or if I try a new product that’s too harsh, or during my cycle. This serum has been an absolute life saver. I recently tried something that has tea tree oil in it (which my skin does not react well too), and this serum immediately cooled and calmed my face - no redness! I have been using it on breakout spots to calm the redness and have noticed it helps the blemish heal faster. I mix it with a few drops of the Wynter Wonder Serum before I have to walk my dog in the Colorado cold and my face stays protected and calm. I will be reordering so I always have it on hand!

Hi! I just wanted to let you know that the Tazman Pepper Serum sample you sent with my last order is wonderful! I know it says that it's mainly for redness, but it has definitely helped clear up my cystic acne. It really helps to stop these giant pimples before they fully rise, and takes enough of the redness away that I'm able to cover them fairly well with just my mineral powder foundation. I haven't found any other product that has had such great results! I've tried looking it up on your site, but tazman pepper doesn't come up when I search. I just thought I'd drop a note to let you know how wonderful this stuff is seen as I can't leave any feedback for it on your site.

very calming, soothing!
I received this as well and after 3 days of use Ive decided its a keeper. My always slightly red/pinkish face after washing has been calmed by this within minutes. I did some research myself on the Tazman Pepper as I had never heard of it. I thought Pepper!! I don't know that I want to put that on my face but it is a very calming, soothing ingredient. I know it just came out but I'm going to be needing more of this soon!!!

I have to say...
I have to say I have only been using this for a few days but I am in love! I had a horrible breakout (I think it's my makeup) and received this in my last order so i gave it a try and f it calmed me right down! I will definitely be making this a staple in my routine. Getting fully hydrated is one of the moist challenging parts of my routine but this soothes my skin and doesn't cause irritation which almost everything does so it's a great find! Please make this available i will continue to use it! I love the fennel and aloe I am unfamiliar with Tazman Pepper but started doing some digging and it sounds great! I am so happy with the effects of this serum and will continue to use it everyday!

The best serum ever! Tazman Berry. I'll order a double size after the 10th of June. Nothing, ever has taken the craziness out of my skin so quickly and effectively. I've been using your wonderful serums for YEARS.....and I usually add niacinamide and caffeine, as a matter of course, because those substances are so beneficial for many skin issues. ~
