C-Deep Vitamin C Serum - Victoria Health by Garden of Wisdom (1 ounce)
Garden of Wisdom for Victoria Health's C-Deep Vitamin C Serum penetrates the skin deeper than traditional vitamin C serums.
C-Deep Vitamin C Serum contains Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate to fight the visible signs of skin aging, reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, as well as firming, evens out skin tone, and brightens the skin’s complexion. This super lightweight, non-irritating, and easily absorbed formulation is 100% stable. It doesn’t break down over time like other vitamin C creams and serums and remains as effective as the day you open it.
C-Deep quickly and effectively protects the skin against the harmful free radicals found in the food we eat, the medicines we take, the air we breathe, and the water we drink.
How does it work?
Just above the deepest layer of our skin, the dermis, lies a rich oil barrier. Traditional L-Ascorbic Acid vitamin C serums are water-soluble and therefore unable to penetrate this layer. Garden of Wisdom’s C-Deep Vitamin C Serum, containing Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate, a form of Vitamin C which has been modified to be soluble in oil or lipids and enters the skin faster and deeper than any other form of vitamin C.
With its unique formulation, C-Deep effectively and efficiently boosts and stimulates the skin’s collagen production – an essential protein that gives the skin its youthful firmness and elasticity.
The Science:
Vitamin C derivatives need to be converted into L-Ascorbic Acid; it is this L-Ascorbic Acid that fades away your age spots, enhances collagen production and fights free radicals.
Studies indicate that Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate not only converts into L-Ascorbic acid but also behaves in exactly the same way - only quicker and more comfortably - with far better results.
With the introduction of Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate suspended in Squalane, a light oil which is easily absorbed into the skin, Garden of Wisdom C-Deep Vitamin C Serum has the ability to provide all these benefits faster than other vitamin C serums.
The Summary:
C-Deep is the gold standard of Vitamin C. Its unique formulation provides potent antioxidant protection by destroying free radicals that cause premature ageing of the skin. Traditional vitamin C serums are unable to penetrate deep into the skin’s dermis, making them less effective at boosting collagen production.
In addition, Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate will also stimulate your skin’s production of hyaluronic acid – helping to hydrate and plump skin cells and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles - resulting in a more youthful looking complexion.
Suitability:
C-Deep Vitamin C Serum is stable, safe, effective and suitable for all skin types including sensitive skin, providing a potent blast of vitamin C to your skin without any irritation. Like all Garden of Wisdom serums, this vitamin C serum is clean, non-toxic, free from alcohol and silicones.
Directions: Apply 1 to 2 pumps of vitamin c serum to your face and neck. Use AM and PM after cleansing (we recommend Garden of Wisdom, Daily Cleanser). Leave to absorb before applying other oil-based serums or moisturizer. If using water-based serums, then apply C-Deep Vitamin C Serum after their use
Shelf Life and Storage Information for Our Products and Ingredients
Finished Products - generally don't need to be refrigerated as they are preserved, but you can refrigerate them to extend their shelf life. The shelf life for most products is 9-12 months. Vitamin C Serum(s) and VitaResurface products should continually be refrigerated to extend their shelf life.
Sample Sizes - do have a shorter shelf life (generally 3-6 months), and items in jars can dry up quicker than this if the lid is not tightened well enough (Vitamin C Serums - use within 90 days).
Please keep your products out of humidity, heat, direct light and in a dark cabinet when possible:Exfoliating Acid - products have a shelf life of 9-12 months. The only things we don't suggest refrigerating are the Mandelic Acid Serums or Salicylic Acid Serums, as they can crystallize in the refrigerator. If this happens, you can set the product into a hot water bath to see if the crystals will dissolve.
Additional Items That Require Refrigeration and/or Kept in the Dark:Hydrosols and Distillates - remove 1 ounce of hydrosol and add it into a separate, sterilized spray bottle and spritzer. Keep the larger bottle in the refrigerator.
Carrier and Exotic Oils - generally, you can refrigerate all carrier oils, although some very rich oils will solidify. This is fine. All you have to do is take it out, warm it up at room temperature and it should liquefy. If not, set the bottle in a hot water bath and occasionally shake the bottle, which will hopefully turn into a liquid. There are some oils with a super long shelf life, like Coconut Cream and Jojoba Oil.
Refrigeration is not necessary, but it surely won't hurt:Essential Oils - essential oils are best stored in a cool, dark place.
Co2 Extracts - these should continually be refrigerated.
Butters - we suggest refrigerating our "skincare" butters. You can remove
what you need and keep the rest in the fridge.
Clays - keep in a dry, dark place. Shelf life is at least 2 years.
Herbs - all herbs (whole or ground) should be kept in a dark, cool and dry location.
Herbal (liquid) Extracts - these are created using alcohol. The alcohol pulls the constituents (properties) from each herbs - root, trunk, leaves, and flowers. They have a shelf life of 3-5 years. They can be kept in the refrigerator or a dark place.
Other Raw Ingredients - i.e., Sodium PCA, Honeyquat, Oat Beta Glucan, etc.
will all have a different shelf life.
Please reach out with any questions! Call or email us and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
