Garden of Wisdom’s Progeline™ Peptide Wrinkle Repair Cream is filled with nothing but lovely ingredients as well as actives, ceramides and peptides which promote structural remodeling of the skin., while helping to restore the elasticity and firmness of the skin as well. This cream is fabulous!
Method of Application Use during your conditioning phase in your routine. Apply small amount(s) until your skin feels silky smooth
Epithelialization occurs within 24 hours after an injury and is characterized by the detachment, migration, proliferation, and differentiation of cells at the base of the epidermis along the wound. Another way to put it is that after an injury mitosis increases, therefore cell production increases and those newly formed cells migrate to any exposed dermis and provide a temporary protection. Epithelialization is the second step in wound healing, the first step is inflammation, such as redness and heat, followed by epithelialization, then collagen synthesis, contraction, and remodeling.
Keratinization is a process by which epithelial cells lose their moisture and are replaced by horny tissue
Shelf Life and Storage Information for Our Products and Ingredients
Finished Products - generally don't need to be refrigerated as they are preserved, but you can refrigerate them to extend their shelf life. The shelf life for most products is 9-12 months. Vitamin C Serum(s) and VitaResurface products should continually be refrigerated to extend their shelf life. Sample Sizes - do have a shorter shelf life (generally 3-6 months), and items in jars can dry up quicker than this if the lid is not tightened well enough (Vitamin C Serums - use within 90 days).
Please Keep Your Products Out of Humidity, Heat, Direct Light and in a Dark Cabinet When Possible
Exfoliating Acid - products have a shelf life of 9-12 months. The only things we don't suggest refrigerating are the Mandelic Acid Serums or Salicylic Acid Serums, as they can crystallize in the refrigerator. If this happens, you can set the product into a hot water bath to see if the crystals will dissolve.
Additional Items That Require Refrigeration and/or Kept in the Dark
Hydrosols and Distillates - remove 1 ounce of hydrosol and add it to a separate, sterilized spray bottle and spritzer. Keep the larger bottle in the refrigerator. Carrier and Exotic Oils - generally refrigerate all carrier oils, although some very rich oils will solidify. This is fine. All you have to do is take the oil out, warm it up at room temperature, and it should liquefy. If not, set the bottle in a hot water bath and occasionally shake the bottle, which will hopefully turn into a liquid. Some oils, like coconut cream and jojoba oil, have a super long shelf life.
Refrigeration of The Following Ingredients is Not Necessary, But it Won't hurt
Essential Oils - essential oils are best stored in a cool, dark place. Co2 Extracts - these should continually be refrigerated. Butters - we suggest refrigerating our "skincare" butters. You can remove what you need and keep the rest in the fridge. Clays - keep in a dry, dark place. Shelf life is at least 2 years. Herbs All herbs <i>(whole or ground)</i> should be kept in a dark, cool, and dry location. Herbal (liquid) Extracts are created using grain alcohol. The alcohol pulls the constituents (properties) from each herb, root, trunk, leaf, and flower. They have a shelf life of 3-5 years. They can be stored in the refrigerator or a dark, dry place. Other Raw Ingredients - such as Sodium PCA, Honeyquat, Oat Beta Glucan, etc., will all have different shelf lives.
Hyaluronic Acid (in a base of spring water) hydrating
Aloe Vera Gel cooling, hydrating
Sweet Almond Oil emollient, conditioning
Sugarmulse emollient, lighter wax alternative
Olivate Emulsifier (Cetyl Palmitate and Sorbitan Palmitate and Sorbitan Olivate) co-emulsifier to enhance the delivery of actives
Panax Ginseng Extract tones, revitalizing, smoothes fine lines and wrinkles
Emollient Esters emollient
Silky Serum Base (Cyclopentasiloxane (and) Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer) helps to build viscosity, offers a silky emollience
Galactoarabinan (polysaccharide) humectant, helps to stop transepidermal water loss, binds moisture to skin
Glycerin humectant, vegetable derived, literally, draws moisture out of the air to skin when applied topically
Progeline™ is a biomimetic peptide allowing, according to the company, to modulate progerin, to result in a complete remodeling effect and reduction of the appearance of wrinkles and sagging skin
Palmitoyl Tripeptide-5 highly bioactive, deeply skin penetrating peptide able to activate tissue growth factor (TGF-beta) that stimulates collagen synthesis in the skin.
Allantoin relieves dry, itchy, irritated skin, believed to heal skin by promoting new tissue growth
I'm not sure what happened to this formula in the last handful of years but it pills up terribly. I thought maybe it was a product I was using, but then I realized that even on perfectly clean dry skin washed with plain soap, it was the product drying and then pilling on itself as I was applying more.
I used to LOVE this stuff (especially if my skin was sensitive from actives), so I thought this had to be from improperly storing it or something. My brand new jar did the same thing, though (and it was a large jar!).
Highly recommend spending less on a small jar before learning the hard way. Maybe they have or can fix the issue!

I usually skip creams because they tend to sit on top of my skin. But this one soaks right in and leaves a silly matte finish behind. I absolutely love it!

Lovely moisturizer
This is a light, lovely moisturizer that absorbs well. I can’t say if it reduces fine lines or helps build collagen yet because I haven’t used it long enough. It seems to be smoothing out the appearance of some sun damage however and that’s a nice surprise.

Creamy but gritty
I have used and liked the GOW progeline peptide repair serum so I decided to thr the progeline peptide wrinkle repair cream. While I like it, I wasn't expecting it to have a grit to it.

Sometimes working with products and keeping them as close to nature as possible
can cause some issues. We do our very best but once in awhile we do miss something.

This product has made the most difference to fine lines and wrinkles of any one product I use, especially in DEEP FROWN LINES IN LOWER FACE - and I use a lot of serums! It is definitely worth the price - the most I've ever spent on any skincare product.
