Method of Application Spritz your face with spring or mineral water for moisture. Apply a small, pea-sized dollop to the tip of your index finger and dab around your face and neck. Spritz again and gently pat the lotion on your skin. The moisture from the mineral water will help the product to glide on smoothly without tugging at your skin while also allowing the amount of product needed to a minimum.
Shelf Life and Storage Information for Our Products and Ingredients
Finished Products - generally don't need to be refrigerated as they are preserved, but you can refrigerate them to extend their shelf life. The shelf life for most products is 9-12 months. Vitamin C Serum(s) and VitaResurface products should continually be refrigerated to extend their shelf life. Sample Sizes - do have a shorter shelf life (generally 3-6 months), and items in jars can dry up quicker than this if the lid is not tightened well enough (Vitamin C Serums - use within 90 days).
Please Keep Your Products Out of Humidity, Heat, Direct Light and in a Dark Cabinet When Possible
Exfoliating Acid - products have a shelf life of 9-12 months. The only things we don't suggest refrigerating are the Mandelic Acid Serums or Salicylic Acid Serums, as they can crystallize in the refrigerator. If this happens, you can set the product into a hot water bath to see if the crystals will dissolve.
Additional Items That Require Refrigeration and/or Kept in the Dark
Hydrosols and Distillates - remove 1 ounce of hydrosol and add it to a separate, sterilized spray bottle and spritzer. Keep the larger bottle in the refrigerator. Carrier and Exotic Oils - generally refrigerate all carrier oils, although some very rich oils will solidify. This is fine. All you have to do is take the oil out, warm it up at room temperature, and it should liquefy. If not, set the bottle in a hot water bath and occasionally shake the bottle, which will hopefully turn into a liquid. Some oils, like coconut cream and jojoba oil, have a super long shelf life.
Refrigeration of The Following Ingredients is Not Necessary, But it Won't hurt
Essential Oils - essential oils are best stored in a cool, dark place. Co2 Extracts - these should continually be refrigerated. Butters - we suggest refrigerating our "skincare" butters. You can remove what you need and keep the rest in the fridge. Clays - keep in a dry, dark place. Shelf life is at least 2 years. Herbs All herbs <i>(whole or ground)</i> should be kept in a dark, cool, and dry location. Herbal (liquid) Extracts are created using grain alcohol. The alcohol pulls the constituents (properties) from each herb, root, trunk, leaf, and flower. They have a shelf life of 3-5 years. They can be stored in the refrigerator or a dark, dry place. Other Raw Ingredients - such as Sodium PCA, Honeyquat, Oat Beta Glucan, etc., will all have different shelf lives.
Hyaluronic Acid hydrating Aloe Vera Gel cooling, hydrating Rose Hydrosol hydrating Squalane Oil emollient, conditioning Polawax NF vegetable derived premier stable emulsifier Emollient Esters emollient Azeloyl Glycine keeps pores clean, mildly antiseptic Galactoarabinan (polysaccharide) humectant, helps to stop transepidermal water loss, binds moisture to skin Glycerin humectant, vegetable derived, literally draws moisture out of the air to skin when applied topically Allantoin derived from the comfrey root, relieves dry, itchy, irritated skin, believed to heal skin by promoting new tissue growth Optiphen (Phenoxyethanol (and) Caprylyl Glycol) paraben free, broad spectrum preservative Ceramide Complex with aging, skin loses its youthful moisture, suppleness, and smoothness, thanks to the loss of essential ceramide molecules. Skin ceramides make up 50% of the lipids in the extracellular "cement" that binds together protective cells in the outermost skin layer, the stratum corneum. The loss of skin ceramides renders aging skin permeable to moisture, leaving skin dry, rough, and itchy; ceramide loss is also a major contributor to wrinkles. Saffron Threads Saffron Essential Oil
If you love roses, the genuine rose scent of this lotion is simply dreamy! On the face this is a light and gentle moisturizer that is agreeable with my rather uncooperative/reactive facial skin. It is rare for me to find a moisturizer that doesn't burn when my skin is actively flaring yet every single product from GOW that I have tried to date has been quite comfortable. My only regret is not finding GOW sooner.

The best!
I love this lotion. I have extremely sensitive acne prone skin with type 2 rosacea that HATES occlusives and most emollients. Most moisturizers are too thick for my skin and I ends up with breakouts or closed comedones. I've gone through multiple jars of this without any issues. On top of that it seems good and hasn't irritated my skin. I have normal-combo skin that's prone to dehydration and I like adding a few drops of a hydrator like 24 Hour Moisture Serum or Super Hydrating Gel underneath.

Fabulous lotion
I bought this lotion as a sample and had to buy a bigger jar. I have sensitive, dermatitis prone skin and am always very cautious about trying new products. This one is very light and has ingredients that make my skin happy. It isn’t enough moisture for the winter months on it’s own, so I add in an oil based serum I made for my skin. It also smells great and the scent doesn’t linger and feel overwhelming. I will be coming back for this one time and time again!

Beautiful Lotion
I really love this lotion. It has a nice, light texture that absorbs easily into skin. It seems perfect for summer heat but I've been using it during the cold months as the final layer, after hydrosol and an oil blend.

Nice lotion, but need something more hydrating
I really love the texture of the cream and I really want to love it. I have so much trouble finding creams that don't irritate my very dry sensitive rosacea fungal acne skin.
I am going to keep trying it because all the ingredients seems like they should be okay for my skin, and maybe it will be perfect for the summer but for now I don't find it hydrating enough and it slightly itches my cheeks. This said I am determined to continue trying it and so far I have been loving applying it around my eye area over the cucumber gel eye cream. I do think the cream would be amazing for someone with sensitive combination skin during the winter months.

If you have any hyaluronic acid serum you can put a few drops in the palm of your hand with a dollop of the Saffron Rose Cream and a few drops of a rich oil would be awesome. I love the simplicity of this formula. This makes a great nourishing and healing serum. I have to be careful with hyaluronic acid (all molecular weights) and retinol/al(s), all which tend to dehydrate my skin. Oat beta glucans bring it back to life!

Finally a Azelic acid product with the perfect ingredients
I have extremely reactive rosacea + POD + seb derm and have never been able to tolerate other azelaic products (Finacea, The Ordinary, Cos De Baha, etc.). They all left me flushed, burning, slick-oily and “raw” the next morning – even at low %.
Wisdom’s azelaic serum is the complete opposite. The base is incredibly gentle: no sting, no burn, no delayed flare. I can apply it at night after just a water rinse, my skin might flush for a minute (vascular rosacea doing its thing), then it calms right down. I wake up with skin that looks calm, not cooked – still a bit oily (normal for me), but far less than before and without that angry, inflamed look.
It’s the first azelaic that actually works with my barrier instead of fighting it. If you have super sensitive, rosacea-prone, seb-derm-ish skin and thought azelaic just “isn’t for you,” this formula is honestly worth a try.
Please can you consult with your customers if you ever want to discontinue this product? will happily stock up if that ever happens.

This cream is so healing to my skin
This cream is so healing to my skin. I have a sensitivity to citrus products and get a terrible rash and my face will itch. This is the only product that calms my skin.I apply this and within a few hours the rash has diminished and the itchiness is gone. The Calendula Blossom Cream has saved my skin.
