Shelf Life and Storage Information for Our Products and Ingredients
Finished Products - generally don't need to be refrigerated as they are preserved, but you can refrigerate them to extend their shelf life. The shelf life for most products is 9-12 months. Vitamin C Serum(s) and VitaResurface products should continually be refrigerated to extend their shelf life.
Sample Sizes - do have a shorter shelf life (generally 3-6 months), and items in jars can dry up quicker than this if the lid is not tightened well enough (Vitamin C Serums - use within 90 days).
Please keep your products out of humidity, heat, direct light and in a dark cabinet when possible
Exfoliating Acid - products have a shelf life of 9-12 months. The only things we don't suggest refrigerating are the Mandelic Acid Serums or Salicylic Acid Serums, as they can crystallize in the refrigerator. If this happens, you can set the product into a hot water bath to see if the crystals will dissolve.
Additional Items That Require Refrigeration and/or Kept in the Dark
Hydrosols and Distillates - remove 1 ounce of hydrosol and add it into a separate, sterilized spray bottle and spritzer. Keep the larger bottle in the refrigerator.
Carrier and Exotic Oils - generally, you can refrigerate all carrier oils, although some very rich oils will solidify. This is fine. All you have to do is take it out, warm it up at room temperature and it should liquefy. If not, set the bottle in a hot water bath and occasionally shake the bottle, which will hopefully turn into a liquid. There are some oils with a super long shelf life, like Coconut Cream and Jojoba Oil.
Refrigeration of the following ingredients is not necessary, but it won't hurt
Essential Oils - essential oils are best stored in a cool, dark place.
Co2 Extracts - these should continually be refrigerated.
Butters - we suggest refrigerating our "skincare" butters. You can remove
what you need and keep the rest in the fridge.
Clays - keep in a dry, dark place. Shelf life is at least 2 years.
Herbs - all herbs (whole or ground) should be kept in a dark, cool and dry location.
Herbal (liquid) Extracts - these are created using alcohol. The alcohol pulls the constituents (properties) from each herbs - root, trunk, leaves, and flowers. They have a shelf life of 3-5 years. They can be kept in the refrigerator or a dark place.
Other Raw Ingredients - i.e., Sodium PCA, Honeyquat, Oat Beta Glucan, etc.
will all have a different shelf life.

I have very dry skin and this is a new constant in my skincare routine. It feels thick going on, but quickly soaks in and does not leave any sort of greasy feeling. This is quickly becoming one of my favorite products!
Wendy ~
Oh my gosh!!! Mentioning the thickness and how it quickly melts in IS amazing 💯 as we use zero obsure ingredients for this to happen.
We are all so happy to see this! Thank you for sharing your wonderful feedback!

indeed very rich moisturizing cream! feels very nice on skin. love it
thank you!
I have struggled for years with the skin on the backs of my arms. I believed I was getting ingrown hairs, so in an effort to clear up the resulting bumps, I was using scrubs and loofahs and drying toners, only to have the problems become worse. I scratched as the bumps and created sores on my skin. I will not wear short sleeves in public because I am embarrassed by the sores and scars on my arms. I finally decided to just try being gentle with my skin because nothing else was working. I emailed GOW and Jen recommended this cream. I have used it for about a week now and my skin is actually healing. It doesn't feel dry and bumpy when I touch it, which means I am not tempted to pick at my skin and make it worse. I think it will take a lot of time and care to make my skin healthy again, but this product is helping where others have not. In hindsight, I think my skin was just very dry and was trying to heal itself but didn't have the moisture and nutrients to take care of itself. (I have also used this cream on my face a few times and it is really a lovely face cream as well. It goes on thick but once it is rubbed in it feels light and clean and my skin stays soft and smooth.)
Such a wonderful thing to hear! Thank you!
I have rosacea-leaning, otherwise normal, 52-year-old skin, and WRMDC is my cure for freezing cold, wind-blasting Michigan winters. It makes my face practically dewey and moonlights as a very lux hand cream. Only very oily skin might not benefit from it. I brought it with me to the Windy City for a women's weekend, and my friends kept sneaking dollops of it when I wasn't looking. Please never stop making it! It's a jewel in your excellent collection.
So glad you are loving this :)
